Counselor

As the counselor at Hays Elementary, I have several areas of responsibilities which include: 

• Testing Coordinator:  I am responsible for all state and district testing. This includes CogAT and STAAR.
• Classroom Guidance:  Guidance lessons will focus on the needs of students in specific grades emphasizing concepts through character education.
• Small Group Counseling: I will form small groups as needed in the areas of friendships, anger management, divorce, or grief with parent permission.
• Individual Counseling: I can provide short-term counseling for students having difficulties related to school. I am not a therapist and do not provide therapy.
• Other Areas of Responsibility include: Career Day, PALS, & Red Ribbon Week campus coordinator.
