The Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Interior Design and Architecture competition team recently traveled to Waco, Texas, to attend the regional competition.
Walk the Line won first place this weekend at the International Championship for High School A Cappella (ICHSA). It is one of seven schools competing at the ICHSA finals in NYC this April. This is its fourth trip to the finals since 2016!

Kristie Hudspeth, Assistant Principal of Pullen Elementary in Rockwall ISD, has been named the 2025 Region 10 AP of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA). The peer-based award celebrates assistant principals from the 20 TEPSA Regions across the state who demonstrate exceptional leadership in fostering a culture of excellence for students and teachers on their PK-8 campus.

More than $32,000 in innovative teaching grants were awarded to District educators for the 2024-2025 school year through the Rockwall ISD Education Foundation (REF).
